Just attempted to have my annual done on my Cherokee 235 only to find that it needs an engine overhaul. Found the #1 and #6 cylinders to have a squeak when cycling the prop during the exhaust valve stroke of both. Removed both cylinders hoping to have them refurbished and while they were off, took the chance to examine the cam lobes only to find rust pitting on 3 of the 4 lobes we could see. Along with that, the #1 rod appeared to have rust corrosion.......

Well, time to figure out how much I can get out of a '64 235 with 2150 hours on the airframe in need of an overhaul......
