I am doing a partial upgrade on my airplane

Currently it has a Century 1 AP.

I'm upgrading the nav to an IFD440, and also putting in dual G5 instruments (AI, and HSI).

But i'm wondering if this combination allows me to keep the Century 1 AP and work in its TRACK mode.

Does anyone know if the Century 1's TRACK mode interfaces through the CDI/HSI or does it interface directly to the GPS/NAV ?

I'm afraid that if its through the CDI/HSI then this combo wont work with a G5.
