Today I was holding short before takeoff for a bit longer then usual after runup and checklist. Reached over to turn on vent fan and accidentally turned on a/c right before cleared for takeoff. Fortunately my a/c motor has been intermittent lately and the door didn’t open and come on and climb out was uneventful but didn’t realize it until I went to turn it to low after we reached altitude. Would be nice if there was a tactile difference in the two switches since they are identical and right next to each other.

Edit- just heard the a/c switches off with full throttle application so as long as that cut out switch is in place there should be less risk. Still warrants better switch design to prevent error.
