I just had an engine overhaul for piper pa 32 300. Lycombimg I-o 540. After running the engine for a few hours I put about 8 additional quarts of oil in. Now I think I may have added too much. Can I fly the airplane.? Won’t the excess oil just dump out ? How much willl the sump hold? I thought the max it would hold is 12 quarts. Can you put more than that in? I have too get the oil changed anyway at 10 hours to follow break in procedures. Bottom line I want to just fly the plane even if I over did the oil. The temps all look good. Any thoughts will help?

Thanks
