IA claims that I need to change the bungees at this annual in my PA-12 with the stock PA-12 (i.e. NOT the PA-18) gear.

These are the bungees under the seat. No - before you flame on me - I don't want to convert to PA-18 gear. i *like* the PA-12 clean look. I want to keep my PA-12 clean, simple and true.

So the question - does anyone know of a tool that can help change these bungees? I have the lever-arm tool, and it is so hard to use that the last time I used it i swore one mistake and i was going to end up in the ER or 6' under.

All the tools I find are for PA-18. I would even love some pix of something that someone came up with to do this other than sitting in the back seat with a monster lever arm and praying nothing comes loose...

Oh - no - a cherry picker wont work. the bungee force stretched is more than the plane. No - i am not stoked about chaining the plane to the floor either, that seems like it is stressing it in the worng way. any other thoughts? surely someone has come up with a clever tool to do this!!!

thanks!
