Bugs and stuff stuck at base of windshield

Seems a common problem to have bug bodies and other misc debris stuck between the top of the panel and the base of the windscreen. I cannot get a vacuum into there. I tried blowing it all out with an air compressor. No go.

Perhaps I can fab a vaccum hose extension with ducktape and a small aluminum tube or perhaps a piece of fuel injection tubing...

Has anyone come up with a successful approach to this pesky problem?
