Trip east with two in an Archer from San Diego in early September. Planning a stop in Branson. Is the airport close to town OK or would I be better off to go to the Branson airport that is about 6 miles south? Next question - where to stay. We would like to stay in town where we can walk to a number of venues and restaurants. What hotels would work best? Should we rent a car or just take a cab into town and walk around for a couple days. Planning to go on to Nashville from there.
