Brake master cylinder rebuild

So after having my A&P bleed the brakes (squishy right brake pedal), it seems that it only lasted a few days and is letting air in somewhere. Since there's no fluid coming from the caliper, he says the master cylinder has to be the culprit.... Yet another part that was "totally gone through and replaced or rebuilt" during the refurbishment process.

Anyway, how involved is a master cylinder re-build? Is it just a few O-rings and then bleeding the system, or is there more to it?
