I have developed a binding in my front gear on a Comanche 250. I narrowed it down to the strut. With a tow bar attached to the nose gear moving left to right, it sounds and feels like a dry hinge. The wheel turns but not smoothly and it seems to bind and squeak. The strut is the correct height and pulling on the nose the strut compresses and pops back promptly with no bouncing. It actually just came out of annual and my mechanic has re-lubed the grease points but not found anything. I'm trying to give him some ideas to check. With the nose off the ground, the rudder moves freely and I don't think anything is binding in the pedals or linkage to the steering bellcrank.

Thanks
