I am having intermittent issues with my radios (both of them). I have an appt with the shop in two weeks but I have a critical trip next week.
What are some opinion on the best handheld for transmitting distance?
I was looking at the icom.
At first I did not see a suction cup antenna mount but I found one.
would the suction cup antenna help with distance? it look like you attach the existing radio antenna to it so I am not sure if it would improve transmitting distance.
one other question, at altitude, what distance would you expect to be able to talk to a tower with a handheld?
