Hi Guys,

We have a 1969 PA32 300 that we use for skydiving in South Africa. It still has the original hartzell hc-c2yk-1b/8475-4 prop on with 4300hrs. In anticipation for a new prop I am reading and listening to a lot of advice.

Obviously for us it is all about the climb, no need for cruise performance.

I've been told that a longer diameter gives better climb, but you can only go so long? The prop clearance as it is with the standard 80inch prop seems a lot more than a C206 or C182, but the MCauley 3 blade BlackMac is only 80 inches?

Anyone know of a longer, fatter prop, that has an STC to go on a PA32 300?

Thanks in advance :)
