Best altitude for cherokee 180C?

I was curious what the typical altitude that you guys fly at with a 180C? I see the POH says that the service ceiling is 14.4k I think it's a bit optimistic, but i've never tried going that high. I am planning a 600nm trip and I wanted to see if it would be worth climbing to 13k or so to take advantage of the winds.
