I updated my GDL50 on Friday and low and behold the the update bricked the device. Contacted garmin support and opened a ticket
Waiting on their promise of a fix for the defective firmware. I don’t understand how they could release an update that basically kills the Bluetooth connection from the GDL50. Anyway I will be on the phone again tomorrow…let’s hope they get there act together and figure out a fix ASAP.
