Battery box tie down

When I replaced the existing Concorde battery in my 85 Archer there were no tie downs holding the battery in place inside the box. The only thing keeping the battery in place is the box cover. Is this normal or are the tie down straps missing? Seems like there should something holding it down for those bumpy days.
