I am often thinking of catastrophic and backup scenarios for flying and have often wondered if the following setup might be an emergency power option.
We now have these lightweight battery jumper batteries. Could one of these be used to backfeed power through the cigarette lighter with sufficient voltage and current to power an abbreviated panel for a short while? If so, would the power be regulated by the voltage regulator? Or is that not an issue. I'm assuming the BAT switch would be turned off, or would it be needed to be ON to provide baseline power.
I have seen simple cords for autos that have a cigarette lighter male terminal at each end used for charging batteries to provide emergency starter power for a "dead" battery.
Just wondering ...
