Aztec prop and mixture cable replacement

I need to replace both cables on my '73 Aztec E. It doesn't seem intuitive and I can't find a suggested procedure in the service manual, although that is often the case.

Anybody have experience or a link to something describing the procedure? Surely it is not as hard as it seems .... famous last words....
