On a '73 Aztec which has the alternator paralleling system, I'm having a problem with an inop alternator. While taxiing out, the alternator inop lights are extinguished. Sometime after take off, not sure when, the left alternator inop light illuminates. I turn off and then on the left half of the master switch and the light remains illuminated. This would indicate the left alternator in not working. When I turn the right half of the master switch off, the left alternator inop light goes out while the right inop light illuminates. Upon returning the switch to on, the left inop light illuminates and the right light extinguishes. I should also tell you that the ammeter is inop. Any ideas?
