I bought a Cherokee Six with an Avidyne IFD 550, an Aspen 1000 PFD and an Aspen 500 MFD a couple of months ago. I am currently using it to get my instrument rating.

If a VOR approach is selected and activated does the Avidyne automatically tune the VOR for that particular approach? Does it give the same turn guidance for VOR IAPs it gives on GPS approaches?

Thanks.

Mike
