Question for you Arrow gurus...
I've got an Arrow IV (normally aspirated) and I've noticed a lot of other arrow pilots claim 140-145+ KTAS in cruise. Around 2,000 feet I get 118 KTAS at 70% power, 4,000 120KTAS, and 6,000 I get 125 KTAS at 65% power.
I notice in straight & level cruise, I cannot see part of the right wingtip because the right aileron sticks up slightly covering it from my view. The left aileron doesn't go up as high. I thought I had a rigging problem so I asked my mechanic to fix the rigging and he said he made a slight adjustment but it was fine.
The plane flies straight and doesn't have any banking tendencies, but my right aileron still sticks up higher than the left, my right flap sticks out a little further than the left, and I can't figure out whats going on with the cruise speed.
Does this seem like a rigging issue? Is there a recommended mechanic who is known for good rigging work on pipers?
