Okay, so this is the real question, how do you deal with the situation when you are being taken to the cleaners and you are NOT in agreement with the finding.  As far as I can tell at this point most of these finding, problems are subjective to at least some extent. If there are objective standards they should be provided. You can check the price of parts, and without spending alot of time these look to me to be on the high side.


I would still tell them you can't afford the laundry list, maybe get the spinner and the stabilator taken care of, and see what they wright in the log books.  If they say the airplane is not air worthy, you might want to talk to the FSDO about a ferry permit for your move. And get things looked at there.


If on the other hand the API is just very, very, picky you may be okay. He may not be willing to take the chance that he could have to defend grounding your airplane, because of some surface discoloration on a cylinder nut, or a door hinge.


Remember half the APIs finished in the lower half of the class, sorry that not funny.
