Has anyone replaced an ammeter (or oil temp/pressure) gauge in a 60s or early 70s Cherokee? Mine got smoked and before I started taking things apart I figure I'd check with someone who may have done this or similar work.

Does it need to be replaced from the front? the rear? Does the plastic bezel surrounding the yoke need to come off? Does the cluster need to be removed to gain access?

Thanks for any help.
