Hi all,

New to the forum but proud fellow piper pilot/owner. I am the new owner of an '81 Archer II down in Boca Raton, FL. On a recent flight to Orlando I noticed the electrical turn coordinator read "off". Following this, I noticed the amps gauge read lower than normal, though not zero. I recycled the ALT portion of the master and the amps shot back up for 10-15 minutes before dropping back down. For the first few months of owning the airplane, the amps stayed put right around 35 or dead in the center of the readout. It now points around 10 or so, just above zero. In addition the ALT annunciator is on, though very dim regardless of the position of nav lights and interior panel lights. I have not noticed, as of yet, any problems with the avionics or lights being weak or inoperable. I have been told by several mechanics that it isnt anything to worry about, but I cannot help but be slightly concerned. I regularly fly the aircraft on short hops around south Florida where I know I have numerous airports to land at incase something were to occur. I'd really just like to have an idea of what this means or what I am looking for.

I appreciate any feedback in advance!
