We have a PA-28-181 that just recieved a new alternator. On shutdown of the avionics switch we notice the ALT light on the annunciator panel is blinking.

This is not a normal warning and we have not ever seen it.

If we turn off/on the master switch (both BAT and ALT) it usually causes the blinking light to stop. However most recently not.

Anyone have any ideas on what could cause this?

We keep the RPM at 1,000 when turning off the avionics so we don't think it to be due to low voltage....

Any thoughts would be great. thanks,
