The Piper "Truespeed" ASI in my Arrow IV is reading about 10-15 kts low at cruise. (Yes, I know the difference between IAS and TAS: the error is reflected in the TAS reading.) Our excellent shop has gone through the entire pitot system and has found no leaks or obstructions. The ASI was removed and sent for overhaul and calibration at Midcontinent Avionics. But after reinstillation of the overhauled instrument, and a successful static system check, it is still reading low. Any ideas as to the cause?
