I can understand busting a TFR I cannot understand busting an area around the DC area at all.  I didnt read where it was a student pilot but if it was I would for sure have a chat with the CFI and view the log books of the student.  Whether or not there should be any TFR's is a whole different subject.


I went from VUO to 57AZ and if you want some interesting airspace look at the Arizona West Northwest of Phoenix. Also look at the space below Phoenix and to the East Southeast along the Mexican border.  Using flight following alongwith my 496 it is a piece of cake.  I allow a minimum of 5 miles from the lines.


Bart get a good GPS and it is much simpler or get very acquainted with your VOR.
