I'm looking to switch my Landing and NAV lights to LED on my PA-28-140 and someone I met at the local airport recommended and swore by Aero-lites. They claim the meet all FAA specifications but are not TSO'd and thus need a "field approval". Now if it were up to me, I'd jump on that faster than a person could say "go" but, I wanted to double check because the prices seem a little too good compared to other options. As I understand it the FAA lets an A&P decide on what is "minor" vs "major" but I wanted to see if these really are a good deal or if I'm in dubious territory?

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Mike
