My King KT-76A transponder gave up the ship today, so I’m looking to follow the avionics shop’s advice for a good economical replacement. I’m a VFR pilot flying a Cherokee 140, so their suggestion is a used Garmin GTX 327. What I’m thinking is, having them replace one of the com radios while they’re in there. Right now I have the King KX 155 for my main comm & a Narco MK -12 as the second comm. I’m thinking of making the King my secondary comm & purchasing a new comm as my primary. Looking for advice for a new comm that won’t break the bank.
