I'd like to hear tips and tricks from anyone who has an IFR GPS coupled to an STEC-20/30 autopilot. I've had only two flights with the setup myself, so far, and want to learn the best way to use the setup (and what to avoid).

My STEC-20 seems to follow the CDI fine for enroute turns, but I didn't have so much success trying a 180° course reversal during a test flight this morning. I'm also wondering whether it will handle LNAV T-approaches gracefully, or whether I'll need to switch to heading mode to help with some of the 90° turns (that will be my next test flight).

Cheers, David
