ADS-B out and traffic visibility:

Since all good things don't last long, you can imagine my reaction when I compared my tablet ( mini Ipad) to my instructor's flying with me that day and realized his was showing a plane rather close to us and mine was not.

I just upgraded my GTX 330 to ADS-B out and between that traffic display on my garmin 430 and my stratus supposedly I had maximum traffic detection on the ipad.

I do understand that its not radar but why would a tablet show traffic and another one not using the same capabilities. I shut down foreflight, restarted the ipad and still did not see that traffic while I saw others.

Any similar experiences?
