Has anyone seen any had an overhaul/reseal on their PA-28-235 prop HC-C2YK-1A and had someone try to claim that AD 2001-23-08 was applicable?

Apparently, at some point in the past, someone stamped an "-E" on my prop hub and now the prop shop wants me to replace my hub for > 4AMU with one they happen to have in their inventory unless I can prove that the hub has always been on my aircraft. My A/F logbook has an entry in 1964 that the constant speed prop was put on prior to initial delivery. My oldest prop logbook is from 1978 and has the same S/N and shows A/F tach time of 1476.4 for my airframe.

Suggestions?
