I'm unable to set my parking brake. The brakes, work, pulling on the handle works, when I press the trigger to latch it, it doesn't latch. I believe something is missing, worn or broken off the latching mechanism.

In the picture it looks like it should catch on the furthest forward crown, that looks to be braised or spot welded, it doesn't hold, maybe part of it is missing?

If someone is familiar with the setup or has access to what a working one looks like, I would appreciate a picture or advice. I can order a used one, I'd rather see if I can fix this before dismantling the braking system.

I've attached a picture of what it currently looks like. The picture rotated 90 degrees, the handle should be pointed down.

Thanks in advance.
