I have 2 496 units, I ordered a generic battery last year for one, and its worked great. I picked up the 2nd 496 this spring, ordered the same battery..worked fine for a month, then wouldn't hold a charge..switched the battery's between units to make sure they were charging, old battery worked fine ( and charged) in the "new" 496. Did an exchange, the replacement battery did the same thing, lasted a month. Tried another Amazon battery, same thing..lasted a month. As my first battery still holds a charge and will work in both units, It still looks like a battery issue to me. Thoughts?
